Their comprehensive services include organizing belongings, expertly packing items, and providing support with moving companies and supplies. Whether relocating across town or across the country, MoveMate ensures a smooth and efficient transition every step of the way.

Research Objectives

1. Understand the pain points of each participant involved in the moving process.

The major reasons for moving among my interviewees are work or school. Students, particularly in New York, consider friends and environment, while employed interviewees in China focus on personal and family development for better quality of life. Regardless of location, all interviewees find packing and organizing items for moving exhausting. Those with lower incomes tend to move items themselves to save money, despite the effort required, while higher earners prefer hiring third-party help for convenience. Some opt for a mix of self-help and hired assistance to balance cost and effort. Understanding individual backgrounds and motivations is crucial for identifying key problems and designing effective solutions.

I’d like to explore ways to help people with many belongings to be simplified and organized because it will make the moving process efficient and safe.

I’d like to explore ways to help people during the moving process to be less stressful on both physical and emotional because moving to a new place often accompanies feelings of exhaustion and stress, particularly when faced with the daunting task of transporting numerous belongings.

My user flow and task flow focus on two main features that users are most likely to use. One feature is selecting moving companies, targeting users who are looking for moving services in their area and the services provided. Another feature is AI scanning, which involves automatically generating a checklist for users to use by scanning the items they need, targeting users who are mainly focused on packing and organizing their belongings during the move.

My brand design targets the young generation, combining an icon and text in the logo to make it memorable. The icon features an emoji with two cartoon people, giving a youthful and friendly vibe. The primary colors, brown and light orange, evoke calm, warmth, and cleanliness, while blue as a secondary color adds a sense of trust and security.

Overall, the design aims to create a friendly, clean, and organized brand that reduces stress for customers facing a move.
